Unfortunately, "Dub Techno" scene is not huge in Japan. However I am convinced of Japanese "Dub Techno" scene is glowing up day by day in underground club scene . (slowly in progress.... )
Today, I'd like to introduce Tokyo's upcoming Dub Techno young producer "saitou_master".
He's production is not classic dub techno like a "Basic Channel".
I think it is more influenced by "New school " one. (it got taste like Four Tet, Pantha du Prince)
"Eighty two" is based on Dub Techno for sure but it got more melodic synth work. It means the track became more smooth & got deep house taste. I think the style is good for Dub Techno beginners.
I wouldn't say "melodic" style is much preferable to Japanese people, however "saitou_master" suggests his own style for us.
Anyway, He produced good "Dub Techno" stuff. If you are a Dub Techno fan, you should watch out his next step. Fantasy dub blog is gonna be supporting him.

東京を拠点に活動する若手Dub Techno Producer, "saitou_master"による"Eighty two"という曲がかっこいいです。いわゆるDub Techno古典、"Basic Channel"系ではありませんが、Deep Houseよりでメロディックなシンセワークが印象的なスムースで聴きやすい仕上がりでFour tet, Pantha du PrinceなどのLeftfield系の影響を感じさせます。
耳の早いDub Technoファンは要Checkです。
